Your August Pay it Forward update

Hello Faith Family!

It is so good to take this opportunity to send you a letter and update you on all that is happening with the Pay It Forward campaign, specifically the solar portion of the project. First, let me start by saying thank you so much for your commitment and faithfulness to this project. You, the people of Peoples Church, have been amazing, and on behalf of the entire church council, let me say thank you! If all goes well, we will have the first level of the PG&E approval process and switchover done at the end of August. While this is not the end, it is a massive step toward completion, allowing us to produce and utilize the energy in real time. It also starts the final step toward approval from PG&E, which will eradicate our electric bill for the entire property! If you were at the annual membership meeting, you know we were working toward this and were delayed due to significant issues obtaining parts and equipment. We thank God that the finish line is in sight!

I encourage everyone to remain faithful in giving toward Pay It Forward. After the solar portion of the Pay It Forward campaign is complete, we’ll have around $500,000 remaining to pay off the solar construction. We will also see more than $600,000 in annual savings on our electric bill for the property.

Will you join Sharon, me, and the entire church leadership in helping us cross the finish line for this portion of the project before we move into the next phase? The Pay It Forward campaign will help our faith family experience annual savings for decades! Our special Pay It Forward offering is this Sunday, August 27, and we would love to see you there.

Your July Pay It Forward update

Have you experienced God’s faithfulness time and time again? We have too. Whether He fulfilled a financial need, cured an illness, or pulled us out of a dark time, God’s favor is steadfast.

At Peoples Church, we believe in sharing the love He has shown us with our neighbors and communities. For decades, Peoples Church has impacted the lives of the Central Valley and worldwide. What a journey it has been! Since the day God called a small group of families to plant a new church in 1954, His faithfulness and our faith families’ relentless generosity to expand the Kingdom have grown into the influence we have today.

Now we find ourselves in the midst of a new calling as we Pay It Forward together. Our faith, pro

vision, and vision are setting the stage for the future of our faith family so that they may also see God and participate in His redemptive story.

September is coming up quickly and our next special offering for Pay It Forward is this weekend. Will you join us?

Happy First Official Week of Summer!

With schools out for vacation, our family-fun summer activities are in full swing. Last week, our ministry PC Kids hosted another amazing Summer Splash. More than 400 kids attended, and their evenings were filled with awesome games, fun crafts, skill challenges, and incredible lessons that kept them eager to return day after day.

What an impact Summer Splash had—dozens of kids accepted Jesus into their hearts last week!

We want to thank the 200+ volunteers who took time out of their week to serve our kids and help them create lasting memories. Events like Summer Splash allow us to form deeper connections with the community, remind families of the importance of having a relationship with God, show kids how fun and fruitful a life of faith can be, and help people see God and participate in His redemptive story.

This weekend, keep the fifth and sixth graders from PC Kids in your prayers as they head to the LA Dream Center to serve in ongoing food distribution, kids’ programs, and community engagement. We are so proud of our kids for investing in the lives of others and modeling what our church is doing through Pay It Forward.

Contributing to Pay It Forward is an eternal investment in our future, including ministries like PC Kids. Let’s continue equipping kids to have a personal relationship with God and be the hands and feet of Jesus!
